Holiday Club
At the Woodlands, we like to use the local natural outdoor environment as a basis for learning opportunities whenever possible. We believe that learning in the outdoors builds self esteem, raises self awareness and develops independence and problem solving skills.
During the school holiday period we aim to offer the children a variety of engaging outdoor activities including;
- Visits to Worsley Woods for den building and forest activities
- Bug hunts
- Kites in the park
- Archery
- Bike rides in the woods
- Fun filled orienteering
As part of the holiday club experience, we also aim to provide the children with the following external experiences;
- Football Coaching
- Dance Workshops
- Music Workshops
- Circus Skills
- Wildlife Encounters
- Visits from local real life heroes i.e fire service, paramedics
- Day Trips
At the Woodlands we also offer a range of stimulating and engaging Internal holiday club experiences. These include;
- Buddy theme days i.e jungle, beach, circus, dinosaurs, knights and damsels
- Buddy gardening sessions
- Air day i.e kite making, balloon modelling, bubble making
- Craft days
- Sports day
- Quiz and games
- Cooking
